Launch a Training Centre for Nuffield HospitalsAimLaunch a groundbreaking national education and training centre for nurses. BackgroundThe Nuffield Hospitals’ Centre for Education and Clinical Effectiveness (CECE) is believed to be the largest training centre to be run by a private healthcare provider to also deliver education and training professionals within the NHS. Centre General Manager - Education and Training, Suzanne Reed, asked Metropolis 2 to launch the Edgbaston-based Centre, which serves the needs of 44 Nuffield Hospitals. StrategyMetropolis 2’s strategy was to organise an event which reflected the values of the CECE in terms of professionalism and commitment to career development and the relationship between Nuffield Hospitals Group (a charity) and the NHS. CampaignGisela Stuart, MP Gisela Stuart, MP for Birmingham Edgbaston and a former Government Health Minister agreed to formally open the CECE. Having fixed the date, the Birmingham PR agency worked with the CECE to issue invitations to influencers in the region’s healthcare profession. The agency prepared speeches, organised the AV materials and equipment, the photography and produced media briefing packs and ran the event on the day. ResultsThe event was well received by all public and private sector target audiences and generated significant regional media coverage.
